Hi Michael, please introduce yourself.
My name is Michael and I have been working as a Project Manager at BCT for one and a half years. Before that, I studied Mechanical Engineering, both at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. During my studies, I gained a wide range of experiences — from the automotive industry and patent law to nuclear physics at CERN. In the end, however, I found my way back home and to BCT.
What are your responsibilities at BCT?
As a Project Manager, I am primarily responsible for the planning and coordination of software projects. Of course, this involves many different tasks, but the largest and most important aspect is undoubtedly communication within the project team, with the Consulting department, and with the customer. Another key element of my role is the continuous development and improvement of our project management standards.

What do you particularly enjoy about your work at BCT?
I especially value the collaboration with new, young project teams at BCT, as well as the cooperation with our customers, which provides fascinating insights into different organisations, workflows, and processes.
How did you experience the onboarding process?
At BCT I received a very comprehensive and structured introduction. From the very beginning, I was entrusted with projects and was able to learn a great deal through hands-on experience. The onboarding plan is extensive and allows you to get to know the company and its products in detail at a comfortable pace. In addition, I attended many internal and external training sessions, such as the IPMA certification, to be methodologically well-prepared for my daily work.
