Introducing the Enhanced Functionality of "Multi Target Check" in BCT CheckIt

In our continuous effort to enhance the capabilities of BCT CheckIt, we are excited to introduce the new "Multi Target Check" functionality. This feature, along with the upcoming "Action Handling" capabilities, forms part of a special grouping concept within BCT CheckIt, designed to streamline and optimize your workflow.

So, what exactly does this grouping concept entail? Essentially, it allows for the execution of checks or actions on all objects within a specified target group. Whether it's the top-level item or its sub-items and datasets, you can now perform comprehensive checks or execute specific actions with ease.

The "Multi Target Check" functionality empowers users to validate values across a group of targets, providing valuable context and insights into the relationships between different objects. This means you can now assess objects in relation to one another, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout your projects.

Moreover, the targets can be grouped based on various criteria such as input objects, validation rules, or target collectors, allowing for a customizable and tailored approach to your checks. Additionally, you have the flexibility to verify if the expected results are met by the required number of targets within a group, ensuring compliance and efficiency in your processes.

With the introduction of "Multi Target Check," BCT CheckIt offers an advanced solution for validating and managing complex datasets, empowering users to make informed decisions and maintain high standards of quality and performance. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting feature, as well as the upcoming "Action Handling" functionality, in our next newsletter.

Here are some scenarios illustrating how this functionality can be utilized:

1. Ensuring Uniformity in Assembly Positions:

Scenario: A user needs to verify that every instance of a component within an assembly possesses identical characteristics, such as a unique identifier (Find No.).

Example: The component "000125-Valves" appears twice within the assembly, each instance assigned a different Find No. The user aims to confirm that "000125" occurs only once in the Bill of Materials (BOM) and/or that all occurrences of "000125" have the same Find No.

2. Maintaining Consistency in Component Attributes:

Scenario: A user wishes to ensure uniformity in attribute values across all components listed in the BOM.
Example: If one component is labeled as a "Purchased Part," all associated child components should also bear this designation. This can be confirmed by the usage of the MultiTargetCheck within BCT CheckIt.

3. Validating Target Quantity Compliance:

Scenario: The user seeks to validate that a specific quantity of target components meets the expected criteria within the assembly structure.
Example: The user wants to confirm that certain components, such as documents, are attached at each level of the BOM. This ensures that the necessary documents are linked appropriately throughout the assembly hierarchy.

Discover BOM Inconsistencies

Check if there are any inconsistencies in the Bill of BOM Material (e.g. when similar objects are represented differently).

Synchronized Property Values

Ensure the property values are in sync with each other. This can be done on the complete BOM or at individual level giving completed flexibility to configure the validation as desired. In addition to BOM, MultiTargetCheck can be used to ensure the correctness of the related objects as well.

Improved automation: BCT Inspector for Neutral Formats makes the Characteristic Identification on DXF Drawings more efficient

The latest update to the BCT Inspector for neutral formats introduces a significant enhancement by incorporating existing inspection flags on dimensions during the identification of characteristics on a DXF drawing. In instances where an inspection flag is present, the value of column K2501b is now systematically set to 1, aligning seamlessly with the QDAS standard. This enhancement significantly improves the automation of DXF drawing characterization and ballooning processes, streamlining workflow efficiency, and ensuring compliance to industry standards.

Exciting News for BCT CheckIt and Teamcenter Users: Introducing Query Collector!

Introducing a new feature within BCT CheckIt: the Query Collector. This functionality transforms the validation process, enabling you to conduct validations directly from Teamcenter query results, eliminating the need to individually select objects or assemblies. With the Query Collector, you can simultaneously validate multiple datasets, leveraging Teamcenter queries as the foundation for validations.

Consider this scenario: An administrator needs to identify duplicate objects or twins that exist within the database. Therefor he requires search capabilities to locate such objects, and Teamcenter provides this necessary query functionality to search across the entire site.

Previously, BCT CheckIt enabled validations based on individually selected objects or assemblies. Now, with the Query Collector, validations can extend beyond individual selections or assemblies without the need for a starting object. Instead, validations can be executed based on the results of Teamcenter query searches.

The integration of Teamcenter query functionality into BCT CheckIt via Query Collector streamlines validation processes. Administrators can use queries through the Query Collector interface, which displays all available queries for selection as the basis for validation.

This enhancement, with its seamless integration between Query Collector, BCT CheckIt, and Teamcenter, significantly simplifies and accelerates data validation processes. It empowers your workflow with unparalleled efficiency, marking a significant advancement in validation capabilities.
